Twilight fans, get ready to relive the saga that took over pop culture more than a decade ago.

Lionsgate announced Wednesday that all five films from The Twilight Saga will return to theaters this October. The studio, which took over Twilight’s original production company Summit Entertainment in 2012, teased the news on social media with a graphic of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner alongside the words: “Forever Begins Again.”

Exact dates haven’t been revealed yet, but Lionsgate hinted more details are coming Thursday.

Based on Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling novels, the franchise tells the story of Bella Swan, a teenager who falls in love with vampire Edward Cullen while navigating her complicated friendship with werewolf Jacob Black. The movies include Twilight (2008), New Moon (2009), Eclipse (2010), Breaking Dawn – Part 1 (2011) and Breaking Dawn – Part 2 (2012).

The series featured a sprawling cast beyond its three leads, including Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone, Anna Kendrick and more.

When the first Twilight hit theaters on November 21, 2008, expectations were modest. But the film made $408.4 million worldwide and turned Stewart, Pattinson and Lautner into household names. Across all five films, the franchise earned more than $3.3 billion globally.

Even now, the saga continues to fuel memes, rewatches and fan nostalgia. An animated TV reboot is already in the works, proving the series still has staying power.

In 2023, to mark the 15th anniversary of the first film, director Catherine Hardwicke reflected on why the story still connects with audiences. “Everybody wants to have that first love,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “That’s just undeniable. That’s just a head rush that makes you feel ecstatic. A love that’s like a drug…. And that’s what I was really trying to create in the movie.”
