Brittany Renner and NBA player PJ Washington have mostly stayed out of headlines since their 2021 breakup, but a new video of the exes clashing over their son has brought them back into the spotlight.
The tense moment unfolded when Washington, who plays for the Dallas Mavericks, arrived at Renner’s home to pick up their 3-year-old son, Paul Jermaine Washington III. In the clip, shared by Black Sports Online and Shannon Sharpe’s burner account on X, things quickly turned uncomfortable.
After Renner handed Paul to Washington, the child started crying. That’s when Renner jumped in.
“Pause. This is what we not gonna do,” she told Washington. “So, every time that he does this I’m gonna record it because that’s not okay. This is the third time he’s done it. He doesn’t wanna go with you, so actually show up and do something with him ’cause he does this every time.”
The exchange was being filmed by Renner’s mother, who wasn’t shy about chiming in. At one point, Washington muttered under his breath, “Man, suck d*ck.”
Renner’s mom immediately called him out. When Washington repeated himself, she fired back with a jaw-dropping line:
“If you had one maybe I would, pssy as b*tch.”
The argument escalated before Washington walked away, as Renner’s mother accused him of spending more money on his new girlfriend than on his son.
The clip quickly spread across social media, where users debated the drama.
“Most children that age cry when leaving their mom and grandparents. She’s trying to make him look bad, but it’s backfiring,” one person wrote. Another was stunned by Renner’s mom’s remark: “The mother said ‘I would suck ya d*ck if ya had one.’ Wtf, some things should never come out of your mouth.”
Some even brought up Renner’s past relationships, with one commenter saying, “That’s exactly why her and Kevin Gates broke up. Ain’t no way you in a relationship with me and have this much emotion for another man.”
Renner and Washington split just months after their son was born in May 2021. Their co-parenting issues, especially child support, have been a public talking point ever since.
