The first season of Dexter: Resurrection is wrapping up, and fans are waiting to see how it all ends. The revival hasn’t been officially renewed by Paramount yet, but talks of a second season are already in motion.
Michael C. Hall returned as Dexter Morgan, and this new run introduced some unexpected villains played by big Hollywood names. Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) and Eric Stanistreet (Modern Family) both joined the cast, earning creepy new alter egos along the way.
“They don’t all live in New York City, but let’s say they’ve been invited there; it’s a gathering,” said creator and executive producer Clyde Phillips, hinting at the mix of new antagonists. “This season is a unique launching pad for however many years this series will be going.”
While Paramount hasn’t confirmed another season, both Variety and Entertainment Weekly report that the studio is preparing to open a writers’ room for a possible Season 2.
