Pakistan Crushes India 3-0 to Reach Final of Asian U-16 Volleyball Championship
Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand – Pakistan stormed into the final of the Asian Under-16 Volleyball Championship with a commanding straight-set victory over arch-rivals India in the semi-finals, held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.
In a one-sided contest, Pakistan showcased superior skill and control throughout the match, sealing the win with set scores of 25-16, 25-19, and 25-12. Apart from a brief moment in the second set where India threatened a comeback, the Green Shirts dominated all aspects of the game.
The Pakistani team excelled both offensively and defensively. They outshined India with 37 attack points compared to India’s 25, and led the blocking game 13-4. Pakistan also edged ahead in service points with a narrow 5-4 margin.
Star player Muhammad Junaid led the scoring with an impressive 19 points, including 11 from attacks. Faizanullah followed with 12 points, while Talha Mehr and Muhammad Irfan contributed 7 points each, highlighting the team’s well-rounded effort.
With this emphatic win, Pakistan now sets up a thrilling rematch against Iran in the championship final. Notably, Pakistan had already defeated Iran in the crossover stage, boosting confidence ahead of the decisive encounter.
