Russia has once again demonstrated its military might to the world by successfully testing its latest cruise missile.

The test was conducted in the Brent Sea in the Northern Sea Route when the Russian Navy’s nuclear submarine “Orel” was launched.

The submarine belongs to the 949-A Ante class, which is part of Russia’s most advanced warship fleet and has devastating capabilities.

The Orel submarine is equipped with Granat cruise missiles, which defense experts claim are four times larger and much more powerful than conventional naval cruise missiles. Each Ante-class submarine carries 24 Granat missiles, which are capable of hitting even the most secure “carrier strike groups” from a distance of 500 kilometers.

The submarine is not only capable of destroying warships at sea, but also has the ability to target enemy targets in coastal areas and in the air, playing a multi-purpose role. During the exercises, the Orel submarine successfully destroyed simulated enemy warplanes, drones, and remote-controlled boats, while also launching missile attacks on distant sea and coastal targets.

Defense analysts are calling the test a major breakthrough in Russia’s naval power, which not only symbolizes its technological superiority but could also affect the global balance of power. The Ante-class submarine has been considered one of the most effective weapons of naval warfare since the Soviet Union, and the recent test is a practical demonstration of this effectiveness.
