Austin Butler and Zoë Kravitz have fans talking after they were spotted together in Paris on August 21.
The two, who star as lovers in Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming crime thriller Caught Stealing, hit the red carpet for the film’s French premiere before heading to Dragon bar for a late-night outing.
An insider told reporters there’s “definitely chemistry” between the actors. “They’re loving spending time together promoting the movie,” the source said, adding that while it’s not a full-blown romance, Butler “hasn’t been friend-zoned either.”
Butler and Kravitz have been traveling together for the film’s press tour, which also features Regina King, Liev Schreiber, Matt Smith and Vincent D’Onofrio.
Caught Stealing follows Hank Thompson (played by Butler), a washed-up ex-baseball player caught in a violent fight for survival in 1990s New York City. Kravitz plays Yvonne, his love interest. Sources say the movie’s gritty production and Aronofsky’s intense directing style helped forge a strong bond between the two.
Rumors about the pair first surfaced last October when photos showed them kissing on set. At the time, a source close to Kravitz insisted it was “nothing serious.” But their recent appearances suggest they may be closer than before.
Kravitz was previously engaged to actor Channing Tatum, her co-star in Blink Twice, but the couple split in October 2024, citing different stages in life. Butler recently ended his three-year relationship with model Kaia Gerber, with friends saying the breakup was simply a natural end.
At a recent London screening, Butler even brushed away a bee buzzing too close to Kravitz, a small moment that only fueled more speculation about their off-screen chemistry.
