England defeated India by 22 runs in an exciting match in the Lord’s Test to take a 1-2 lead in the series.
In the third match of the series played at England’s historic cricket ground Lord’s, the result came in the last session on the last day when England spinner Shoaib Bashir dismissed Mohammad Siraj to help his team win the match by 22 runs.
In the first innings of the third Test match of the series, England scored 387 runs thanks to a brilliant century by Joe Root, in which Braden Chriss and Jamie Smith scored half-centuries.
In response, India scored only 387 runs in the first innings thanks to a century by KL Rahul, half-centuries by Rishabh Pant and Jadeja.
In the second innings, the England team was bundled out for 192 runs and India was given a target of 193 runs to win.
However, the Indian team could only score 170 runs and lost the match by 22 runs. In the second innings, Ravindra Jadeja was the top scorer for India with 61 runs, while KL Rahul played an innings of 39 runs.
In the last innings, Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes took 3 wickets each, while Braden Chriss took 2 wickets, and Shoaib Bashir and Chris Woakes took one wicket each.
