A Congress MLA was robbed in the Diplomatic Enclave area of the Indian capital Delhi.
According to Indian media, on Monday, Congress MLA Sudha Ramakrishnan was taking a morning walk in the high-security Diplomatic Area of Delhi when a man riding a scooter snatched her gold chain, causing the woman MLA to suffer injuries during the incident.
According to the report, the woman said that she was walking near the Polish Embassy after 6 am when a man wearing a helmet on a scooter slowly approached her. She did not suspect anything, but when he got close, the man pulled the gold chain from her neck, which injured her neck.
The MLA wrote a letter to Indian Home Minister Amit Shah and complained about the incident and said that this attack on a woman MP in the high-security area of embassies is very unfortunate.
He added that if a woman cannot walk safely in this high-security zone in the Indian capital, then where can we feel safe?
