He said that more than 100 colleges and universities have become part of this program, this funding will be provided over the next three years, which aims to promote AI awareness, research scholarships, and cloud computing resources for students at universities across the country.

According to Sundar Pichai, we will provide free AI training and Google career certificates to every American college student under the ‘Google AI for Education Accelerator’.

Several public universities in Texas, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania, including the University of Michigan, Ohio State University, and the University of Virginia, have already joined the program.

The $1 billion total includes the cost of Google’s advanced AI tools, such as the Gemini chatbot, which will be made available to students at no additional cost.

Sundar Pichai said the initiative is a continuation of Google’s recent global initiative “Gemini for Education,” under which AI facilities are being provided to students and teachers at no additional cost.
