Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government is facing tough questions from opposition parties over the failure of Operation Sindoor.

Opposition leaders have accused the Modi government in the Lok Sabha of surrendering to US President Donald Trump.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said in Parliament that “Prime Minister Modi did not say that US President Trump is a liar. Everyone knows what happened and what the truth is.”

He added that “If Modi says that Trump is a liar, then Trump will speak openly. If Modi says something, US President Trump will show the truth openly.”

JD(S) leader Mallikarjun Kharge also criticized the Modi government, saying, “Modi does not have the courage to say that Trump is lying. There is something black in the dal, that is why Modi does not say anything to US President Trump.”

He raised the question, “Why and how did the Modi government allow a third party to come into the talks? The people should be told what was the weakness behind bringing America in the middle?”

Kharge stressed that “Modi gave a 2-hour speech but did not even mention Trump’s name. The Modi government is lying to tarnish the country’s image. I condemn the Modi government’s lies and tarnishing the country’s image.”

Opposition parties say that “a new chapter is being added every day to the story of the incompetent Modi government’s failure.” He also drew attention to the fact that US President Trump has repeatedly mentioned playing a role in the Indo-Pak ceasefire.

This political controversy has come to light when the Modi government has avoided giving satisfactory answers to the opposition’s questions in the Lok Sabha. According to political observers, this issue shows a major weakness in India’s foreign policy.
