Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has categorically stated that Iran has no intention of abandoning its nuclear program, including uranium enrichment.
Speaking on a US news channel program, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that enrichment is currently on hold because yes, nuclear facilities have suffered severe and serious damage, but we cannot abandon enrichment because it is an important achievement of our scientists.
He called uranium enrichment the pride of the Iranian nation and made it clear that any future nuclear deal should include the right to enrich uranium.
When asked whether enriched uranium stored before the US attacks had been saved or not, the Iranian Foreign Minister said that he did not have the details, but he said that the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran is assessing how much damage has actually been done to the nuclear material or enriched material.
It should be remembered that after the Israeli attack on Tehran, the United States bombed three Iranian nuclear facilities on June 22, including the underground uranium enrichment facility at Fordow, south of Tehran.
US President Donald Trump declared the attacks a success, claiming that the facilities had been completely destroyed.
The Iranian Foreign Minister admitted that yes, the facilities were damaged, but we have the technology. Our nuclear program, especially the enrichment process, is not an imported thing that can be destroyed by bombing. He said that there is no military solution to this problem.
