Israel has carried out an attack near the headquarters of the Syrian army and the Defense Ministry in the Syrian capital Damascus, the Israeli service said before that it had stepped up attacks to help government forces from harming the Druze nonage.
According to reports from transnational news agencies AFP and Reuters, this is the third successive day that Israel has attacked Syria, where clashes are ongoing between government forces and original Druze fighters in the southern megacity of Sweida.
AFP reporters said that a loud explosion was heard in utmost areas of the capital, which came shortly after an earlier air strike that targeted the same structure in the megacity center.
Defense Ministry sources told Reuters that at least two drone attacks had hit the structure and that officers were taking sanctum in the basement. State- run Al- Ikhbariya TV said that two civilians were injured in the Israeli attack.
The Israeli service said it had “ targeted the entrance to the Syrian government military headquarters complex ” in Damascus and was “ monitoring ” conduct against Druze civilians in southern Syria.
Live footage from Al Jazeera television showed massive airstrikes damaging the Defense Ministry structure in Damascus.
Syrian state media and substantiations said Israeli strikes also hit the megacity of Sweida, a generally Druze area where fighting has been ongoing for a fourth day, despite a ceasefire being declared on Tuesday night.
Syrian government colors were transferred to the Sweida area on Monday to stop fighting between Druze fighters and Bedouin markswomen, but they were themselves bogged in a conflict with Druze regulars.
The Britain- grounded Syrian overlook for Human Rights said government forces and their abettors had “ extrajudicially executed Druze civilians ” and killed 21 civilians.
Original news outlet Sweida24 reported that ordnance shells and mortar attacks were being launched on the megacity and girding townlets on Wednesday morning.
Syria’s Defense Ministry, in a statement carried by the state news agency SANA, indicted “ lawless groups ” in Sweida of violating the ceasefire.
The Syrian Defense Ministry has prompted residers of the megacity to stay outdoors, with some residers who spoke to Reuters by phone saying they were locked in their homes out of fear and without electricity.
The European Union expressed “ concern ” over the ongoing clashes in Syria’s Druze- maturity Sweida and called on all parties to an immediate ceasefire and cover civilians.
The EU’s politic charge also prompted” all external actors” to” completely respect Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” while Israel has carried out attacks in support of the Druze.
France also called for an end to contended abuses against civilians in Sweida, Syria, with a war examiner criminating government forces of extrajudicial killings and other abuses.
The French Foreign Ministry said it explosively condemned the abuses against civilians, adding that they must stop incontinently. The French Foreign Ministry called for an immediate end to the fighting and respect for the ceasefire.
The Foreign Ministry said that “ France supports the sweats of the Syrian transitional authorities and the leaders of Sweida to renew accommodations and expedients that a continuing agreement will strengthen the concinnity, stability, sovereignty and security of Syria for all Syrians. ”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has advised Druze people to avoid entering Syria, as dozens of people crossed the ceasefire line in both directions after deadly fighting.
“ Do n’t cross the border, ” Netanyahu said in a statement, describing the situation in Sweida as “ extremely serious. ”
