Israel’s self-proclaimed West Bank sovereignty declaration has been rejected by Arab and Islamic countries.
Israel has declared so-called sovereignty over the West Bank, which has been rejected by Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Syria, Algeria, Palestine, Qatar, Turkey, the Emirates, the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and several member states of the United Nations.
In a statement on social media AppX, the Saudi Foreign Ministry called the move a clear violation of international law and a violation of UN resolutions.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Israel does not have any sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories, and such a unilateral move is not only illegal.
This does not affect the legal status of the Palestinian territories, such moves not only harm peace efforts but also further inflame tensions in the region.
The statement concluded with a renewed commitment to the two-state solution and an emphasis on all relevant parties supporting the establishment of an independent Palestinian state in accordance with UN resolutions, the Arab Peace Initiative, and the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
