Speaking at the Sustainable Development Policy Institute( SDPI), IMF Representative Maher Banki stressed the changing profitable geography, reforms, and environmental programs in Pakistan and the region and said that profitable growth in the Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan is anticipated to strengthen further in 2025 and further.

still, he said that adding trade pressures, geographical fragmentation, and weak global cooperation are adding the query, hence the critical need for far- observed and prudent policy measures.

The IMF representative said that Pakistan’s performance under the EFF program has been strong so far. Pakistan’s profitable recovery instigation is encouraging. still, external challenges remain, but original policy measures have helped restore macroeconomic stability and restore investor confidence.

He said that reforms to make the duty system fairer, ameliorate the business terrain, and promote private sector- led investment are crucial to Pakistan’s long- term profitable sustainability.

The IMF representative said that the support handed in the environment of environmental reforms wo n’t only strengthen Pakistan’s environmental adaptability but also pave the way for green investment and help make an frugality in an environmentally friendly manner.

He added that Pakistan’s progress in environmental reforms is estimable. The successful completion of the first review by the Executive Board in May was an important corner.
