Washington: US President Donald Trump has confirmed that five aircraft were shot down during the Indo-Pak war.

In April, unidentified assailants attacked the Pahalgam area of occupied Kashmir, killing 26 people. India blamed Pakistan for the attack without providing evidence, but Pakistan categorically rejected the accusation and expressed its willingness to cooperate in an impartial investigation into the matter.

The US condemned the Pahalgam incident but did not support India’s baseless claim of blaming Pakistan.

India, intoxicated with power, declared war on Pakistan on May 7, to which Pakistan responded forcefully and shot down five Indian aircraft, including a Rafale.

India has been avoiding confirming the downing of these aircraft.

In reality, 5 planes were shot down: President Trump
However, now US President Trump addressed Republican members of Congress at the White House, in which he did not say that Pakistan shot down 5 Indian planes, but he did say that in reality 5 planes were shot down. He did not give details of the matter. He simply said that the situation was getting worse, but he stopped this war.

According to Western media, India also claimed that it had shot down Pakistani planes, but Pakistan has categorically clarified that India did not destroy any Pakistani fighter jet and India has also failed to provide evidence of this.
It should be remembered that after the Indian attack on May 7, fighter jets, drones and artillery were used by both sides in the war, in which India had to suffer heavy losses. Finally, India had expressed its readiness for a ceasefire by seeking help from the United States.

President Trump has been taking credit for this ceasefire. Trump says that the ceasefire was made possible on May 10 after talks with the leaders of both Pakistan and India because they warned that the United States would not trade with these countries if the two countries did not agree to a ceasefire.

Trump also offered to mediate on Kashmir

At the time of the ceasefire, President Trump also offered to mediate on Kashmir. Addressing the leaders of both countries, President Trump said, “I will work with you both to find a solution to the Kashmir issue after a thousand years.”

Pakistan immediately accepted this offer of mediation. A statement issued by the Foreign Office said, “We appreciate President Trump’s offer to support efforts to resolve the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. This is a long-standing issue that can have serious implications for peace and security in South Asia and beyond.”

Unlike Pakistan, India had refused to accept mediation by taking the path of escape. India is not even ready to openly admit that the ceasefire was brought about by President Trump.

Pakistan recommends awarding Trump the Nobel Peace Prize 2026

Unlike India, Pakistan not only recognized the role of President Trump but also declared him worthy of the Nobel Peace Prize for this extraordinary role for peace in the region. In this regard, Pakistan has also written a letter to the Nobel Committee signed by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar requesting that President Trump be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
