WhatsApp has decided to introduce a new feature to improve the chatting experience of users.
According to a report by WaBetaInfo, the Meta-owned messaging app will now allow users to reply to messages in a threaded format, similar to replies to comments on Facebook or X (Twitter).
The feature aims to make WhatsApp chats more organized and convenient.
Currently, replies to each message appear separately, making it difficult to find old replies.
Under the new feature, all replies in group chats will appear as a thread below the original message, which will make the context of the conversation clear.
The feature has been hinted at in the Android and iOS beta versions of WhatsApp.
According to the report, when a user replies to a message, a small icon will appear on the original message. Clicking on this icon will show all replies related to that message in one place.
Users will also be able to add new replies to the same thread, which will keep the discussion on a specific topic in one place.
