Sanaa: Yemen’s Houthis have announced that they will target ships doing business with Israel.

The Yemeni Houthi-dominated Ansar Allah party has said that ships belonging to any company doing business with Israeli ports will be targeted.

According to foreign media, Yemen’s Houthi rebels have announced that they will target all ships owned by companies that do business with Israeli ports, regardless of the country they belong to.

A spokesman for the Houthi army warned in a TV statement that if the companies ignore their warning, their ships will be targeted, regardless of their destination.

He added that the Yemeni armed forces appeal to all countries to put pressure on Israel to stop the aggression on Gaza and end the siege if they want to avoid this tension.

It should be noted that since the start of the war between Israel and Gaza in October 2023, Yemen’s Houthi rebels have been targeting ships sailing near the Yemeni coast to Israel in support of Palestine.

In May, the United States reached an agreement with the Houthis, in which the United States agreed to stop airstrikes on them but stipulated that they stop attacking ships.

However, the Houthis made it clear that the agreement does not guarantee that Israel will not be targeted.
